A relação entre a compreensão e os aspectos prosódicos na leitura em voz alta de falantes do PE e do PB

This paper presents an analysis of the reading ofPortuguese and Brazilian subjects of different ages and different levels of education. Our goal is to relate fluency when reading aloud, observed through its prosodic aspects, and reading comprehension. Therefore a crossing of the data obtained in the prosodic analysis of the data obtained in the comprehension test was made. We noticed that, contrary to what we expected, good results in comprehension activity vary not only with increasing education, or age, but also vary according to the type of text and the importance the reader gives to the reading task
