Resumo: Este ensaio discute a relevância do cosmopolitismo na literatura e na arte contemporâneas, em especial na obra de Amitav Ghosh e Jitish Kallat, focalizando uma possível dimensão utópica em sua abordagem das relações transnacionais no passado e no presente.

Abstract: This essay discusses the relevande of cosmopolitanism in contemporary literature and art, especially in the works of Amitav Ghosh and Jitish Kallat, focusing on a possible utopian dimension in their approach to transnational relations both in the past and int he present.
