A inovação linguística: subjetificação e luta por reconhecimento

Abstract


Este artigo desenvolve uma discussão sobre a relação entre ofenômeno da inovação linguística e a noção de subjetificação(‘subjectification’) (cf. LANGACKER, 1990; 2006; TRAUGOTT,1995; TRAUGOTT; DASHER, 2005; OCHS; SCHIEFFELIN,1989). Propomos, de acordo com a literatura, que a inovaçãolinguística é consequência de aspectos mentais ligados àsubjetividade dos falantes e, em última instância, ao mecanismopsicossocial denominado de luta por reconhecimento, estabelecidona filosofia moderna, sobretudo por Hegel (1893 [1992]), edesenvolvido, na atualidade, por Honneth (2003). Ilustramos nossareflexão com uma análise do fenômeno conhecido por gerundismo,que, de acordo com nossa visão, a partir de conteúdo modal,desenvolve valor de futuro próximo, o que atesta o papel dasubjetificação no fenômeno da inovação linguística.
