The journal was created in 1992 and since then has regularly published scientific papers in Linguistics. In 2014 it interrupted its printed publication and became an exclusively open access electronic journal. In 2015 it increased its periodicity from a biannual to a triannual journal. In 2017 it became a quarterly journal.
