Resumo
This essay analyzes trauma in Cristina Garcia’s Dreaming in Cuban. The
characters Celia and Felicia go through different sorts of trauma that do not
fit in the PTSD concept. These traumas are related to patriarchal codes of
behavior, family history, the socio-political context, and sexual oppression.
